Writing a Bio is like writing a living obituary. What is it that people need to know about me, if they didn’t know me.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior on Dec 23rd, 1993. Great place to start, is when I accepted Christ. Since then, I have served in various ways in the church at large. Elder, Trustee, Youth Pastor, Pulpit supply, and Pastor are some of the assignments that God has provided for me. I studied at a private prep school, Allegheny College, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
By the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I was led to leave a main line denominational (PCUSA) and start WellSpring Church. That transition started in April 2010, and with the support of my family and eight other families this church was birthed. God gave me a vision to develop this church based on His word, focusing on the Book of Acts. Earlier this year He led me to tour the building in which we now own. Every room His Spirit showed me how to use. I have learned to focus on what God is doing. I believe that Gods’ purpose for us is a precious gift and must be sought with all that we possess. My personal mission statement is this:
To equip, to empower, and to employ the children of God to bring all honor, praise and glory to His Kingdom.
WellSpring Church is a place where I hope that your relationship grows in Christ. My hope is to be the pastor that I always wanted to have for myself. To be there in a time of need, to laugh with, to cry with, to develop a better understanding of just who God is and achieve all of His promises that He gave to us. You will get to know me. I will get to know you. Reading about me on a paper is informational, and that is decent. Building a personal relationship with me, now that is what church is all about, a more excellent way!
As Founding and Senior Pastor of WellSpring Church, I look forward to getting to know you. Perhaps you will consider sharing your life with me, as I will with you.
